Chapter 64
- The meetings had Stephanie running up and down and barking orders at her co-workers, she just couldn't understand why they didn't get the gist. Jacob needed a file, she zoomed to get it for him, Jacob needed more coffee, she went three flights to get it, anything he needed, she got it. It wasn't as if she was a first timer or was trying her hardest to impress him but it was just easier using work to occupy her mind, it was so much easier focusing on this instead of the mess her life was in right now.
- She still had some files to cross check before she'd send it in to Jacob and that's when all hell broke a straw, she had found out that one of the documents were not typed correctly, as she looked intently with glasses on the bridge of her nose and paper in hand, she wondered what the editors were doing that they didn't see the errors and the million and one things wrong with this particular paper. She hated that she would have to go there to talk to the editors but it had to be done and there was no two ways about it. Sighing annoyingly, she got up from her seat, document in hand and the other opening the door to her office. Whether it was the coffee doing it's magic or it was just her hyperactivity, she didn't know but it felt as if it wasn't just coffee she was on, she felt she could have been on an imaginary big time steroids but she knew better, as she walked with a lot more force than it required that it was because she was distinctively tired and she hadn't had a thing to eat since she got to work worst of all she didn't get to even start a painting or worse start one. If she had managed to glance at her art room, she was sure that she would have been calmer but she didn't m, so her brain was in serious overdrive from the stress, the anxiety, the disappointment...
- She was tired if it all, she took a deep breath, knocked on the chief editor's office and opened when he beckoned it. She opened the door with a tad bit too much force and that startled the poor man.
