Chapter 33
- Stephanie moved away from Jacobs as a black SUV drove up in front of them. From the way, Jacobs straightened, she could tell this was his car. A short man in a blue jumper got out and Stephanie was left wondering if this was actually Jacobs driver. She had expected him to employ only fit and immaculately dressed, unsmiling men, who looked like they had sticks up their asses.
- The driver smiled widely at Jacobs and tilting her head to him, she saw that he smiled broadly at the mid fifties man. Pulling open the back door, he gestured for her to get and her heart melted once again at his chivalry. It was a wonder that she hadn't turned to a puddle on the walkway and she thanked God for the cold hair that hit her face as she got it. She prayed that it'll solidify her heart back to the normal state.
- The door closed shut and she stared out, seeing as Jacobs brows furrowed a bit, like he was surprised that him shutting the door obscured his view of her. She saw his hand reach out, probably to pull open the door, but the driver said something and Jacobs turned away, listening to the man speak animatedly about something, his hands flying over his head.
