Chapter 47

• Something was thundering dangerously in his chest. He couldn't explain why his cheeks and neck were heating up at just the idea of being so close to her. His head was getting all fuzzy and he was beginning to feel light-headed in her presence, but he tried to play it cool because she wouldn't let him live this down if she found out about these predominant embarrassing feelings he was starting to cultivate towards her.
• He got out the steaming dish from the microwave oven and dug around in the cupboards for plates and forks.
• "Mac and cheese!" She squealed excitedly, throwing her hands in the air as he spooned generous servings into their plates.
