Chapter 31

• Jaccob had been CEO long enough that he had begun to believe he had seen it all, but when he walked to find that his portrait had been given a makeover, he realised how very wrong he was.
• It was a picture Jaccob was very proud of even though he would never admit it to anyone's hearing. It had been after he got the news from his father that he would be taking over the affairs of the company and he would finally get that long coveted seat at the table. The picture depicted him seated in a swivel chair facing the camera with a smug look, his expensive black suit so pristine the camera man admitted he had to dull it a bit in the process of editing. He had been going for a look somewhere between a smoulder and a grin and he remembered being proud of the outcome.
• But apparently, Jaccob's proudest pose was not enough to impress the vandal who decided he looked even better with horns, a beard and a goatee that made him look like Satan if he was depicted in a sixties horror film. The only thing missing was the red colour to his entire skin. The nerve of this person was thoroughly insulting, almost as much as the act itself.
