Chapter 37

• When Stephanie’s boss, Jacob found out about his baby, he was shocked to his core. Becoming a father wasn’t exactly part of his plan for the year. He also knew he had to keep this baby secret because he was tired of his family issues being published on the front pages of magazines and newspapers.
• Later on, he set up a secret meeting to assign a nanny for his baby which he found out about a while ago. On an average day, Stephanie would have been the first person he informs about the meeting. This is because he is used to being with her, and he constantly sought her opinion whenever there was a meeting going on. This time, he knew he couldn’t tell Steph about the meeting because he wanted to stick to the decision of trying to keep his family out of the limelight.
• On the day of the interview, the first applicant who showed up was a tall young woman who was pleasingly plump but shabbily dressed. Despite the 2m long brown mahogany desk between them, he could tell that her breath was pungent. Her appearance stated the fact that she was in need of a job so he gave her the benefit of doubt.
