Chapter 292 Pregnancy Complications

  • Isaac sat on the edge of the bed, watching Eleanor sleep. Her breathing was steady, but her face, even in rest, looked tired. The complications had begun about two weeks ago—small at first, nothing alarming, but enough to make Isaac worry. Now, they were undeniable. Every movement Eleanor made seemed to cause her discomfort. And though she brushed off his concerns, telling him she was fine, he knew better. He could see the strain in her eyes, the fatigue in the way she moved.
  • Isaac ran a hand through his hair, the anxiety bubbling in his chest. He had brought in the best doctors, experts in both human and werewolf medicine, to ensure that Eleanor and the baby were safe. But the tension never left him. Every time Eleanor winced, his heart would race, and he couldn’t shake the fear of losing her or their child.
  • Eleanor stirred in her sleep, her hand unconsciously moving to her swollen belly. Isaac’s eyes softened as he reached out, gently taking her hand in his. She had always been so strong, so determined. But pregnancy had taken its toll on her. He wanted to help, to take away the pain, but he felt helpless.
