Chapter 203 Protesters

  • Blake’s car rumbled up the gravel path leading to the castle, his mind still buzzing with thoughts of Agatha and the hope she might bring to Logan’s dire situation. As he neared the castle, a low murmur reached his ears, growing louder with each passing moment. The sound was unusual, a discordant hum that set his nerves on edge.
  • When the inside of the castle finally came into view, Blake’s eyes widened in surprise. A crowd of people had gathered in the compound, their faces etched with worry and frustration. The normally serene grounds were now alive with movement and the noise of angry voices. He pulled the car to a stop at the edge of the courtyard, the vehicle’s headlights cutting through the gloom and briefly illuminating the anxious faces in the crowd.
  • Blake’s brow furrowed as he stepped out of the car, his boots crunching against the gravel as he moved towards the throng. The scent of sweat and fear hung heavy in the air, mixing with the earthy smell of the castle grounds. He could hear snippets of conversation as he approached—words like “attack,” “injustice,” and “security” floated past his ears, painting a picture of the unrest brewing among the Pack’s lower ranks.
