Chapter 277 Expecting A Baby

• Eleanor sat on the edge of her bed, staring at the small white stick in her hand. Her heart pounded so loudly in her chest, she was sure anyone nearby would hear it. The seconds seemed to stretch, each one pulling at her nerves until, finally, the tiny screen blinked its answer: positive.
• She gasped, her hand flying to her mouth as she felt a rush of emotions hit her all at once—joy, disbelief, nervousness, and a deep sense of responsibility. Her eyes began to water as the reality sank in: she was going to be a mother. Slowly, she placed the test on the bedside table and wiped her eyes, a smile pulling at her lips despite the tears.
• She had to tell Isaac. Her mind raced with how she would do it, how he would react, and whether they were ready for this. Though they had talked about a future together, becoming parents felt like a huge leap, one that she hadn’t quite expected so soon.
