Chapter 245 Crystal Makes A Choice

  • The room was bathed in the soft, golden light of the morning sun filtering through the curtains, casting a warm glow over the furniture. Crystal stood at the threshold, her eyes scanning the empty space that had once been filled with Logan’s presence. The bed, neatly made, seemed to mock her with its pristine emptiness. It had only been less than 24 hours since he had left the Red Moon Packhouse, but the silence in his absence felt like an eternity.
  • Crystal’s heart clenched as she took a tentative step into the room, her shoes barely making a sound on the wooden floor. She hadn’t expected to feel this way. After all, she had spent the entire time he was here trying to avoid him, trying to keep the walls around her heart firmly in place. But now that he was gone, the reality of it hit her like a ton of bricks. She was missing him.
  • She walked over to the bed, her fingers lightly brushing against the smooth fabric of the duvet as she made her way around the room. Her movements were slow, almost hesitant, as if she was afraid that if she moved too quickly, the remnants of his presence would dissipate. Her gaze fell on the dresser, where a few of Logan’s personal items still remained. A silver watch, a pair of cufflinks, and a neatly folded shirt lay there, seemingly forgotten in his haste to leave.
