Chapter 178 Blake's Promise

  • Blake ascended the narrow stone steps leading to the rooftop of the New Dawn Pack’s castle, his footsteps echoing softly in the evening stillness. The cool air brushed against his face as he pushed open the heavy wooden door at the top, stepping out onto the roof. From this vantage point, he could see the entire packhouse and the surrounding forest, bathed in the soft glow of twilight.
  • He walked to the edge of the roof, resting his hands on the rough stone parapet. His eyes swept across the familiar scene, taking in the neatly arranged gardens, the towering trees, and the winding paths that led deeper into the woods. Everything seemed so peaceful, so serene, yet inside, Blake’s heart was anything but calm.
  • He let out a deep sigh, the sound carrying away on the evening breeze. His mind was a whirlwind of conflicting thoughts, torn between loyalty to his Alpha and the promise he had made to Aidan. The weight of his secret pressed heavily on his chest, each breath a reminder of the burden he carried. Aidan trusted him, confided in him, yet Logan—his oldest friend and leader—depended on him more. Was he betraying that trust by keeping silent? The question gnawed at him, refusing to let go.
