Chapter 179 Consulting The Witch

  • Logan stood before the small, weathered hut, deep within the heart of the ancient woods. The air around him was thick with the scent of damp earth and decaying leaves, the dense canopy above casting long, twisted shadows on the forest floor. He took a deep breath, his chest rising and falling heavily, the weight of his mission pressing down on him. The creaking door in front of him was old, its wood splintered and warped by time, and yet it stood as the final barrier between him and the answers he desperately sought.
  • With a hesitant hand, Logan raised his fist and knocked on the door, the sound echoing ominously through the stillness of the forest. The silence that followed was suffocating, and for a moment, Logan wondered if the witch would refuse to see him. But then, slowly, the door creaked open, revealing a dim interior filled with the scent of herbs and the flicker of candlelight.
  • An old woman stood in the doorway, her figure hunched and frail, but her presence exuded a palpable power that made the hairs on Logan’s neck stand on end. Her silver hair hung in tangled strands around her face, framing sharp, angular features etched with deep lines of age and bitterness. Her eyes, once bright and full of life, now held a dark, piercing gaze that bore into Logan with a mix of disdain and weariness.
