• Emily lay on her bed, staring at the ceiling, feeling the weight of her sadness pressing down on her. She had been grounded at home, and her room, located upstairs, felt like a prison. The only way out was downstairs, where her parents were sitting, monitoring her every move. She sighed deeply, wishing she could see Aidan right now.
