Chapter 174 Simon And Isaac

  • The atmosphere in the New Dawn Packhouse was thick with tension. The usually vibrant halls, filled with the sounds of daily pack life, now seemed eerily silent. Every creak of the floorboards, every whisper of the wind outside, felt amplified in the uneasy quiet. Alpha Logan, his face lined with worry and exhaustion, had just returned from his confrontation with Crystal, and the weight of the day’s events bore heavily on his shoulders. He moved through the corridors with the purposeful stride of a leader, but there was a new weariness in his step, a heaviness that spoke of a father’s deep concern.
  • Logan entered the large, wood-paneled meeting room where his most trusted pack members awaited him. The room was dimly lit, the warm glow of the few lamps casting long shadows across the walls. Blake, his loyal Beta and childhood friend, stood near the head of the table, his expression calm but his eyes sharp with attention. Simon, the ever-calculating advisor and Gamma, was seated, his fingers steepled under his chin as he watched Logan enter. Isaac leaned casually against the far wall, his arms crossed over his chest, trying to mask the tension in his posture with an air of indifference.
  • Logan took a deep breath, steeling himself before he spoke. “Aidan is missing,” he announced, his voice heavy with the gravity of the situation. He paused, allowing the words to sink in, watching as the shock registered on Blake’s face and the flicker of something darker passed through Simon’s eyes. Isaac’s expression was harder to read, a mix of surprise and something else, something guarded.
