Chapter 272 Isaac Invites Eleanor Over

  • Isaac paced in his living room, the soft glow from the lamps casting a warm light on the room’s sleek, minimalist décor. His heart raced with anticipation, a mix of excitement and nervous energy flowing through him. It had only been a few hours since he left his father’s office, but the news he had to share felt too important to wait for the next business day. He had to tell Eleanor tonight.
  • Glancing at the clock, he realized it was almost time. Eleanor would be arriving soon, and for the first time since they had started seeing each other, she would step into his personal space—his home. Isaac had always kept his distance from others, both physically and emotionally. But Eleanor had broken down those walls, and now, she was about to see a side of him that very few had.
  • Isaac lived away from the castle now, choosing instead to settle among humans in a small, quiet neighborhood. His house was modest, a reflection of his need for simplicity. The wooden floors gleamed under the dim lighting, and the large windows were covered with sheer curtains that let in just enough of the evening glow. The scent of fresh flowers lingered in the air, a bouquet he had bought earlier, though he wasn’t sure if Eleanor even liked flowers. He hoped she did.
