Chapter 221 Lucy Confront Simon

  • Lucy’s heels echoed softly against the cold stone floor as she made her way down the dimly lit corridor of the dungeon. The air was thick with the scent of damp earth and rusted metal, a stark contrast to the lavish, ornate rooms she was accustomed to. Yet, she walked with purpose, her mind swirling with thoughts as she approached the cell where Simon had been confined.
  • As she neared, the flickering torches on the walls cast long shadows, their light barely penetrating the darkness that clung to the dungeon’s corners. The heavy iron bars of Simon’s cell came into view, and Lucy’s eyes locked onto the figure inside. Simon was sitting on the rough-hewn stone bench, his back against the wall, his head tilted slightly as if lost in thought. The moment he saw her, he straightened up, a sly grin spreading across his face.
  • “Well, well, look who it is,” Simon drawled, his voice laced with mockery. “I didn’t expect you to be joining me so soon, Lucy. Though, I must admit, I’ve always known there’d be a room in here waiting for you.”
