Chapter 148 Confronting The Vampire Count
- Sadiq, the Count’s errand boy, stepped in front of Logan, his hands raised in a gesture of caution. “You can’t go in there,” he said, his voice a mixture of firmness and anxiety. The young vampire’s eyes darted around nervously, clearly aware of the consequences of failing his master.
- Logan, his eyes blazing with determination, barely paused. “Out of my way,” he growled, his voice a deep rumble of authority. With a swift, powerful motion, he pushed Sadiq aside, sending the boy stumbling against the cold, stone wall of the hallway. Sadiq’s face twisted in a grimace of pain and fear, but he made no further attempt to stop Logan.
- The long hall was dimly lit by flickering torches, casting eerie shadows that danced across the ancient stone walls. At the far end, Count Draco sat upon a throne crafted from bones, a macabre seat of power that added to his menacing presence. The Count’s piercing eyes gleamed with a dark amusement as Logan approached, his steps echoing through the hall.
