Chapter 146 Back To Where It All Began

  • Logan sat in his study room, his elbows resting on the dark oak desk, fingers intertwined and pressing against his lips. The room, dimly lit by a single lamp, was filled with the scent of aged leather and faint traces of Crystal’s perfume. Her scent lingered everywhere, tormenting him with memories of better times. He ran a hand through his hair, letting out a heavy sigh. She was all he could think about.
  • His thoughts spiraled around the events of the past few days. The image of Crystal packing her belongings, the look of hurt and determination in her eyes, haunted him. He wondered how long she would stay away, if she would ever come back. Should he have tried harder to stop her? Maybe he should have swallowed his pride and begged her to stay. But he let his ego get in the way, and now she was gone.
  • The silence of the study was interrupted by a soft knock on the door. Logan straightened up, pushing away the overwhelming sadness. “Come in,” he called out, his voice echoing slightly in the quiet room.
