Chapter 65 Sixty Four
- I rushed into the restaurant and quickly made my way to the table where Sanna was sitting, frowning with clear anger. As I took the chair across from her, I realized that I was an hour late for our meeting. I had fallen asleep and missed the agreed-upon time, leaving my laptop on and my room in disarray. I hoped I had remembered to turn off the blower on the vanity table.
- "Seriously, Lauren, we agreed to meet at 10 am, and now you're here at 12. What happened? Why did it take you so long? I've already finished the salad I ordered for us," Sanna snarled, pointing to the empty plate in front of her.
- I took a deep breath before responding, still trying to catch my breath. I grabbed a glass of water from the table and drank it down before explaining myself.
