Chapter 39 Thirty Eight

• I gripped the wheelchair that was outside the car while Zevran picked up my mother in a bridal style and placed her in the wheelchair. We had just arrived at La Monte Garden, which stood in front of Bethany School, where I attended my grade school before. Surprisingly, I had never noticed the garden before, even though it belonged to Zevran's family and was only a few meters away from our house.
• As we approached, I noticed two vehicles in the parking lot and several people wandering around the area. Could Zevran's parents and his godmother be here already?
• The warm sunshine caressed my pale skin, adding to the beautiful scenery of the area.
