Chapter 30 Twenty Nine

• When my mother woke up, I immediately hugged her and couldn't stop crying. Still, the fear of her not waking up lingered inside me; the doctor's words were not reassuring. It was already 8 pm when she woke up, and Zevran had left after I screamed at him to get out. Yet, I could still hear his annoying laugh echoing in my mind.
• He loved to tease me and was totally out of line. It was as if he wouldn't have a whole day without annoying me.
• Even though I didn't want my mother to go home right away when morning came, I worried more about what she wanted. Even though the doctor said that she could be discharged, I was afraid she might not be totally well yet. What if she suddenly fainted? What if it was more severe than the last one she had? What if this time, she didn't wake up again?
