• "Why are you so late, Lauren?" Yvaine asked me when I opened the door of the wedding dress shop. I was surprised to see her sitting in one of the chairs near the counter. Juliet was behind her, writing something on a piece of paper, and she gave me a bright smile, which I returned.
• She had never thought Yvaine would be so excited when I called her last night to schedule a dress fitting for the wedding. My eyes scanned the area for Kristina, but she was nowhere to be found.
• "Where's Kristina?" I asked Yvaine.
