Chapter 85 Eternal Bond
- The descent seemed to go on forever. Even though the wind was tearing at my clothes and roaring in my ears, I was not going to die. I was descending into the light. Around me, golden streams swirled, pulsing with vitality that matched my heartbeat. I had my hands outstretched, reaching for anything. Sebastian, however, was absent.
- "Sebastian!" The name ripped from my throat as I yelled. Only the unending stream of light responded.
- I hit the earth with a bone-jarring thud as the weight of gravity abruptly changed. I was in excruciating pain, yet I pushed myself to stand. It was as though the stars had been poured into the earth, and I was surrounded by a huge expanse of bright sands. Above me, streamers of color shimmered in a limitless sky. It was both gorgeous and frightening.
