• The air around me was heavy with an unearthly hush that tensed my whole body. The forest's dense vegetation allowed the moon's soft light to filter through, casting long, eerie shadows that seemed to have their own will. Sebastian's weight was evident on my side, and I could sense his strain but also his regular breathing. One of us might sense someone else's eyes on us.
