Chapter 51 The Rift's Edge

• Dark energy leaked into the air like a poisonous mist as the split spread. A profound and unnatural tug, so strong that it twisted my stomach, was palpable. A maelstrom of shadows had formed in the clearing, circling and whirling around the enormous fissure in the ground. Lena stood next to me, staring into the abyss below. With his blade at the ready, Sebastian hung precariously near the brink, but there was something in his gaze that I couldn't quite identify.
