• I do not understand, I have messaged Jake numerous times, asking how he is, and while this time he has replied, all I have had back are very short and simple answers. Like he doesn’t even want to talk to me. I have clearly pissed him off. And I have a feeling this does not bode well. Previously, it was him chasing me, which I have to say I had no issue with. I quite enjoyed it, other than him being a little too obsessive at times. But now this is quite uncomfortable. I do not like to be the one having to do the chasing. Do not like being the one doing the running. Not to mention it makes me question why the sudden change in his attitude towards me? Is he changing his mind about us being mates? That would be truly disastrous!
• My father hardly speaks to me either. Discussing only the necessities. Not checking in with me like he normally would. Sending messages with lists of demands. Telling me all the things I must ensure I do before the meeting. I am beginning to wonder if he is aware of the things Jessica and I have done. The moneys we have pocketed from the business deals in somewhat dishonest ways to benefit ourselves rather than the business. The business deals we fixed to benefit the other investors so our business was at a loss, but done so we personally got a cut. So again, we as individuals benefit, whereas the businesses suffered, in some cases, massively.
• But we had done this in such a way it was well hidden, we were sure of that. I am sure we were. We had been promised that. It should not get back to my father. That is what we had been told. Yet here we stand now, looking at my father’s business empire slowly crumbling around us, and we were struggling. My father wanting answers. Needing answers. And I was flailing around desperately for a reason for him.
