Chapter 262 Ruby

  • I watch Jake rush from the room. He was keen to speak to whoever was calling. I am sure he won't be long, or he likely wouldn't have taken the call. I know I would't if I had someone round at my house. So, I sit and wonder what to do while Jake is on the phone. Should I begin a match on my own? Though I don't want to do that if he isn't going to be long. I walk around the lounge, trying to kill some time, the minutes are ticking by, and I am a little bored.
  • He wouldn’t have taken a call if he had planned to be long surely? So I sat down and wait, playing a solo player match on the console as I wait. Assuming he shouldn’t be too much longer. I mean he's been a little while already, so surely he has to be nearly done. Maybe it took longer than he thought when he first took the call.
  • The matches last for around ten minutes and once it is up I am beginning to wonder if I should go and look for Jake and see if he is ok. I put the controller down and head to the hallway, wondering if he was maybe in the kitchen. But I can’t see nor hear him. Making me wonder if he is even in the house. I head down the corridor of the house where there is a dining room with large patio doors, and I can see Jake sitting down talking away on the phone, a smile on his face.
