• The phone vibrated in his hand and he stared at it, feeling nervous without even identifying the possible reasons. In his mind, the image of Elliot possibly disappointed to see him meeting Harry behind his back appeared. Even though he knew he wasn't doing anything wrong, he didn't want to hurt him. However, he had to act according to his convictions. He had never acted with someone else in mind, and he wouldn't start being submissive now just because he liked Elliot.
• For Jonathan, it was crucial to maintain his individuality and his values, regardless of what anyone might think of his actions, even if he was in a relationship. He had his personality, ideas, and values, which wouldn't be ignored just to please someone else. He knew it wouldn't be a simple situation to get around, but he felt it was worth a try. Likewise, he thought of it as if it were a problem in his own family, with a sibling or cousin who needed help, and imagined that he would want someone to make themselves available to help in any way necessary.
