Chapter 23

• Elliot was tired. His confused mind made it difficult to relax, even when he was at peace in his apartment. His constant problems were hammering away in his head and, on top of that, he now had to worry about his close relationship with Jonathan. He was a mess. Confused, worried. Excited. Very excited.
• So he decided to put these matters to one side and try to relieve all the intense tension that was making his body ache. He removed his pants, which were the last item of clothing he was wearing, folding them perfectly before putting them in the basket where he stored his dirty clothes. His organization was impeccable and would be the envy of any housewife, even the most experienced. All the items in her closet were stored in categories of color, type of fabric or material, and season.
• Distracted as he prepared to get into the shower, he felt the electricity run through his skin, bringing to mind all the teasing and touching he and the trainee had exchanged during the afternoon. He felt that, no matter how hard he tried, he couldn't get rid of the image of Jonathan in his head. He opened the shower slowly, and the hot water falling on his body was like heaven. The shower's strong intensity allowed the falling drops to be repeatedly felt like a massage, and he felt his muscles relax completely. His back shivered from the continuous contact of the hot water, reminding him of Jonathan's touch on his leg.
