• Our memories form a collection as we grow up, creating sets of various moments we've experienced. Whether they're pleasant memories or ones we'd rather bury deep within our subconscious. Some have no choice but to come face-to-face with these unwanted moments throughout life. And Jonathan found himself exactly in that place, when he caught himself with flushed cheeks and a silly smile on his face as he looked at the beautiful little red cake with extravagant frosting.
• Sitting in his chair, he got lost in his thoughts, remembering the ridiculously adolescent feeling that had invaded him since he had been so close to Elliot. With his stomach full of butterflies and his heart racing wildly, a heat that rose in his red face and his hands trembling and damp.
• “I seem like a teenager,” Jonathan grumbled before taking a bite of the cupcake.
