Chapter 34

• Standing there, waiting for Elliot to say his words, Jonathan found it hard to believe that he was there. It was strange to see him away from work but in a pleasant way. He wanted it to be like this more often, and he hoped that he felt the same way. Seeing that he had bothered to look for him in person was a pleasant surprise, since Jonathan always imagined that he meant less to people than he did. He would have to get used to it, after all, Elliot didn't usually treat anything with simplicity or indifference. He was an intense person, who liked to show through actions and words how much everyone mattered in his life. The hardest part was finding someone for whom he cared so much.
• "No problem at all," he smiled. "I just wanted to talk. I know things have been hectic today, and we haven't had much time together."
• "I'm glad you want to talk, I've felt the need to all day. But I didn't want to interrupt you, you seemed very busy," Jonathan said.
