Chapter 33

• After leaving work, Eric and Jonathan hit a traffic jam on their way home. On the way, Eric was telling an old story about a problem client they'd had, but Jonathan was completely distracted, his preoccupied mind preventing him from concentrating. His whole day had been like this, and he still didn't know how to deal with what had happened between him and Elliot. He wondered if he should talk to Elliot, check their situation, or if they would have problems living together after this. Even though the signs that something might happen between them were few, the paranoia in his mind made waiting to see him again and discuss their feelings unbearable.
• Although it was obvious that they both shared feelings, neither of them had discussed how to move forward or whether there would be an "us" between them. For the time being, Jonathan and Eric were spending the week at Hugo's house, who had been very insistent that they move into his apartment since they spent most of their time there and his apartment was much more convenient for Empire than their houses. Over time, they gave in to their friend's idea.
• Jonathan didn't have the chance to say goodbye to Elliot that day, as he knew he was too busy to be interrupted unnecessarily. It was difficult to understand how far their relationship would go, given that, at the end of the day, he was the intern and Elliot was still the CEO of Empire. This made him feel the need to have an in-depth conversation about what was happening between them.
