• Staring into little Daisy’s eyes, I shutter as realization dawns upon me. She’s a miracle, kind of like I am. It’s evident that there aren’t many of us left but what strikes me is that there are much fewer pups that have been born into our pack. From what I can tell some have taken chosen mates but given our numbers, many have remained unmated.
• I give Daisy a small smile, taking her hand in mine as she continues to take me around the grounds and introduce me to the others. For a child with so little, she has so much fierceness inside of her. A trait I rather admire given the life she’s had. She’s brave and bold, something I had always wished to be.
