Chapter 36
- Alexandra
- I glare up at Alpha Liam’s face and I see the anger that resonates within him. It’s like he can feel my pain as his own, admittedly a feeling I’m not used to. The realization hits me like a ton of bricks, every beat of my heart serving as a reminder that I’ve become completely smitten by him. I don’t care what happens next. I don’t care if he meets his mate tomorrow and I become a faded memory, I’ll always carry him and his kindness in my heart.
- I think about answering his questions and telling him who I am, who my parents were but quickly push the thoughts away. I’m not sure if he’ll use me for his own benefit like many other Alphas have sought to do. Power is a funny thing. While Anna is beautiful in her white coat, she’s also different. Different enough that it puts both of us in danger. The legend of the white wolf has been whispered about for decades yet I can’t seem to figure out why. I don’t possess anything special that would make me worth searching for.
