• I shift uncomfortably when Greg’s voice becomes louder, demanding to know what happened to his missing girls. I wonder why they mean this much to him; so much that he’s willing to rock the boat with his relationship with the shifters. I feel my palms becoming sweaty, this all feels far more than I’m capable of. The truth is, finding the missing girls seems like a fairytale ending right now but admitting that to Greg won’t end well for us or would it prove to Liam that I can handle myself.
• Liam doesn’t hide the scowl on his face and I know if I don’t act quick, I’ll be forced to witness a repeat of last night. He makes it clear in every aspect to outsiders that he’ll take what he wants, consequences be damned.
