• The sun peeks through the treetops yet the forest is deathly silent adding to my piling anxiety. I move deeper into the forest, feeling the branches snap in half as I continue through the trees. I notice how beautiful and serene it is out here, regretting that it’s taken me this long to explore the lush grounds belonging to the pack.
• Alpha Liam doesn’t say another word yet I can feel his gaze beating into the back of me. I don’t even know if I can do this but I owe it to Liam to try. Blooming wild rose bushes surround a nearby creek and like a child in a toy store, I can’t help myself and brush my fingertips against the velvet petals.
