• As the words slip off of his sinful lips, it’s as if the world stands still around me. They play over in my mind like a continuous circuit as I struggle with the internal battle brewing inside of me. How can something so wrong be so right? I push it aside, trying to convince myself that he must have gotten wrapped in the moment. He must have had a momentary lapse in judgment. It’s nothing more. I know it can’t be anything more.
• A devilish smirk spreads across his face when he recognizes the hues of pink staining my cheeks. “I meant what I said, I want to mark you. I can’t take the men around swooning over what’s mine. I want you to feel my teeth claiming you as mine… right here,” he says, his fingertip tracing a path down the curve of my neck.
