Chapter 69 Protecting Genesis
- JORDAN
- Time passed quickly, and just like the previous days, I got lost in my thoughts and neglected my work.
- My mind had not yet accepted the idea of being with Genesis instead of Samantha, the woman who owned my heart. I couldn't believe she would betray me like that. I had sacrificed so much for her. I had ignored my pending problems and accepted my fate, all while waiting for her. I had refused every other woman and spent my precious time waiting for the day she would be mine. I had given her everything she asked for: money, care, attention, and understanding. Most importantly, I had given her my heart. I was willing to hurt someone else just to keep her safe. I was ready to do anything for her, even when she was wrong. And all I asked for in return was her love, which was supposed to come with patience and understanding. I still couldn't believe she threw everything away - all I had, all the feelings, all the years of waiting - without a second thought. It hurt so bad, my heart ached with an endless suffocation.
