Chapter 104 The Beauty Of Being Married
- I stood frozen in place, unable to believe what Jordan had just said to me, or even to Samantha. I closed my eyes and looked around, half-expecting to find hidden cameras or reporters. Maybe that's why he was acting this way in front of the woman he had loved his whole life. But there was no one else around except for the chefs, who were watching the scene unfold. I turned my gaze back to Jordan and saw that he was still staring at me intensely, a smile on his lips. I swallowed, still unable to believe what I had heard, and turned to the woman standing behind him. She had moved away from where she was and was now standing to the side, staring at him with wide eyes and an open mouth. That look on her face confirmed that this was not a movie or a dream - Jordan had really said all of that. I took my eyes off her and looked back at Jordan, trying to process everything he had just said. His lips twitched as his smile widened, and his eyes sparkled from a distance. My heart fluttered, and I realized that I was beyond cloud nine.
- He stood in front of me, and I lowered my gaze, biting my lower lip slightly. His scent was stronger and more soothing, and the thought of leaning into his body suddenly crossed my mind. My cheeks heated up even more, and I wished the ground would swallow me up at that moment.
- "Were you really going to leave?" his voice came, soft, calm, soothing, and sexy. I couldn't help but raise my gaze to look at him, his voice drawing me in. His eyes were still fixed on me, and my throat went dry. I opened my mouth to speak, and saw his eyes snap to my lips in an instant. Goosebumps covered my skin, and I lowered my gaze from his eyes, allowing my thoughts to linger on his lips. They were glossy and incredibly attractive. They looked so tempting, and the thought of kissing him overwhelmed me. I felt my thighs heat up, and I quickly pushed those thoughts away, looking away from him.
