• By the time we got home, it was late and I was exhausted. Jordan had not only made us have lunch, but we had gone to business meetings. I was angry about that, since he never told me about the meetings, he never said a thing about stopping by somewhere to discuss stocks, negotiations, and worth more when we were leaving the house, and it had made me feel like that was the reason he had insisted we went shopping. He just needed to meet these men in three different places. I spent my dinner watching my husband discuss work, and no one cared.
• Without saying a word, I got out of the car and started towards the house, hating him for a lot of things that had gone wrong that day. First, we had to see Samantha and yes, he might not have spoken to her, but he ended up making me feel worse when he had to tell me I needed to have coffee with a business associate. I hated the idea but still gave in. He tried to comfort me by holding my hand, squeezing it, rubbing my back, or simply giving me a kiss on my cheek every few seconds while he was at that meeting. But when he had to go to another one, I became rather angry and all his apologies over the first meeting were meaningless. As if that was not enough, dinner had to be a business meeting, how beautiful.
