Chapter 53

• Lucifer walked in the restaurant to have a business meeting with one of the men that wanted his company to invest in theirs. He did that once in a while and he kept his mind open usually, he was looking for raw and new talent. It was usually refreshing to see that in people. Lucifer walked to the table where he saw Mr. Landon with Jay, and was quite surprised to see his date, too surprised. He could barely mask the shock, it was Isabelle. It was the last place he expected to see, with another man for that matter. Lucifer looked to Isabelle, she was wearing a spaghetti strapped red dress that he had actually seen on her before. She had the good grace to look embarrassed.
• Several thoughts flew in his mind. Why was she there? Was she cheating on him? How long had she been cheating on him? Why the hell would she be cheating on him? Jay looked at Lucifer, and he looked away. He clearly recognized Isabelle too. Lucifer would have been worried if he had not recognized her. He would have been a little more relieved though. Then, there would be an option of him seeing things.
• “Good evening Mr. Lucifer, my name Is Mr. Landon and this is my date, Isabelle,” the older man said, Lucifer had been holding on to fragile hopes that then girl just looked like Isabelle but it was not her. The man just dashed all those hopes. It was Isabelle.
