Chapter 24

• Annabeth helps Isabelle up, her face is bruised and she is bleeding profusely, especially her arm. Despite the first aid treatment that was applied around it, the whole arm was looking terrible and Annabeth was getting scared, that Isabelle might lose a lot of blood and collapse.
• The other woman kept affirming she was fine even after the ambulance had left, the whole restaurant was gradually returning back to its normal scenery and Isabelle tried to pretend that her arm wasn’t killing her. She hated the way she was trying to hide her pain but she was failing miserably. She wanted to scratch off Anne’s face with her fingers and she knew she would see the stupid bitch very soon. Then when she sees her again, she wouldn’t give her the chance to get away.
• “We need to get to the hospital, your arm doesn’t look like it’s a minor issue anymore.” Annabeth commented and Isabelle looked down at her arms, it was indeed not a small cut but she didn’t want to go to the hospital, she just wanted to head home. The smell of drugs in that place would make her want to throw up and she hated the prickling needle the doctors might want to sew her up with. She hissed again as the pain hit her. Annabeth knew Isabelle was in pain but she didn’t know why she was refusing to go to a hospital.
