• “Wait, are you serious abot going to the charity wit me?” Isabelle asked and lucifer shrugged, he was currently standing in her doorway and she was trying to wrap her head around the fact that this weird man just asked her to go the same charity he refused to go to with her. Maybe her words did strike a nerve in him but she doubted that. Lucifer wasn’t a man that you can change his mind that easily, he would rather stand on hisnwords. It was aprt of what made the public feared him, he never goes back on his promises but deciding to go on this dinner was strange, even Isabelle wanted to see to the end of all of this.
• “Are you sure there’s something else you’re not telling me? Or did you refuse to go initially because the woman you wanted to take was interested and now that she decided that she wasn’t going again, you decided to take me with you?” Isabelle asked, she couldn’t help the petty jealousy seeping into her tone. She knew their contract included being faithful to one another but she doubted if Lucifer was capable of being faithful. Not like they had been acting like they were in a contract relationship. The lines between the contract and whatever was between them was starting to get blur and Isabelle wasn’t going to be the one to address that. If he wouldn’t say anything, then she would okay his game.
• “I feel bad that you think I’d go against a contract we both agreed to and sign and cheat on you. I said I would not be with another woman except you all through our contract period and I mean that. I would never do that to you or anyone else I’m in contract with. I guess you don’t know me that well, but I had a change of mind, thanks to your words and I decided to go with you. It’s fine if you don’t want to go with me, I’d just stay home. Not like I wanted to go anyways” he replied and he felt horrible for lying against the fact that he was going there just because of her words.
