Chapter 22

Isabelle rolled awake and she looked around for Lucifer. She couldn't see him or even detect any signs of him. She waited a bit to hear sounds of maybe he would be in the bathroom or something, but the whole room was as quiet as a grave yard. She stood up and she walked into the bathroom to freshen up. Maybe he was cooking for her and she smiled at the thought. A hot male cooking a hot meal, sounds tempting. She threw on one of his joggers and a tshirt before walking downstairs to see maybe she would meet him there, but to her surprise, she didn't.
She looked around hoping to catch him making a business call or something on the balcony, but he was doing none of that and Isabelle realized he wasn't anywhere in the house. She hissed because he could have left a note for her or something to let her know he had left or something.
She searched for her phone before placing an order for an uber to take her home. She wanted to leave him a note but she decided against that. What's the use of not paying him back with his own coin?
