Chapter 35
- Lucifer pulled up at the club and he took quick short breaths to calm himself. He wasn’t going to let his temper get the best of him, he trusted his men too much for this to happen. He never let them suffer and he didn’t know what would make them want to steal from him. They knew he didn’t treat thieves well and yet they still risked their lives to do it. That part would never make sense to him.
- Maybe he was being a little too lenient with them and that was what made them think they could mess with him to begin with. He wasn’t a man they should be messing with and they would learn that very soon. Maybe he had been feeling too relaxed, that was why someone bombed his club right under his nose and the person is yet to be found, just like he disappeared off the face of earth. He wasn’t going to let anyone stab his back right under his nose, he wouldn’t let that happen not while he was alive. He walked into the reception and Jay was waiting for him, he smiled at the other man before he led the way towards the stairs that led to the underground holding cell where he held men who forgot their places in the world.
- “I set up a few moles amongst the distribution unit because the turn up was failing and because some of them were selling at a higher rate than what they are being ordered to sell. I already warned them about tainting the brand name and how much their dealings had to do with trust. One of the moles fished Theo out, he didn’t sell his own share, he exchanged it for powder instead and resell to unsuspecting customers. If they call him out for selling fake substance to them, he threatens them with his badge and your name” Jay filled him in and Lucifer nodded. The boy really had some audacity and Lucifer had to give him that. Too bad his audacity would end his life today, after a lot or torture and whatnots.
