Chapter 28

• Lucifer walked out of the hospital room and as soon as he saw Isabelle's neighbor, he knew she would be the perfect person for the job. He needed to grab some things real quick and he didn't trust anyone to watch over Isabelle the way he would have loved to watch over her. He walked towards where she was standing and whispered to herself and he cleared his throat. She jumped and he shook his head. She was the one that was out of her mind and probably miles away from here and he only cleared his throat.
• "How are you?" He asked after clearing his throat again and she looked sideways as if she couldn't believe he was asking her that question. She swallowed a few times before she murmured a tiny "I am fine" and Lucifer wouldn't have heard it if it was not for him wasn't talking to her. He nodded and he looked back when the door opened again and a doctor stepped in before walking close to Isabelle and checking her vitals. She smiled at them before stepping out again and Lucifer turned to the woman shaking in front of him. He knew he was intimidating but he didn't think he was as intimidating as he looked on a normal day, but here was Annabelle or Annabeth, whatever her name was, looking like she wanted to piss her pants.
• He looked through the window and he saw how disoriented he was looking, he looked like he was out to kill someone and it was the truth, he was indeed out to kill someone and whoever bombed his club would be on the receiving end. It wasn't something new, and the bastard who did that to his club probably knew what was coming for them. He refused to believe that it was a single man job and that they didn't have a whole team working their ass off to bring down the billionaire dom boys. It was sureeal becasue they knew this was going to come but they didn't know it would be this early. His attention is snapped back to the present when the girl tries to leave his presence and go stay beside her friend.
