Isabelle moved around her flat whistling to the music playing loudly on her phone. Today felt good or maybe she was feeling light. She wasn’t even going to let anyone or anything make it go wrong for her. She was cooking, something she hadn’t done in ages. Cooking to her was like something that made her connect with her past self and she hated doing that so much, she hated revisiting her own past.
She smiled as she turned down the cooker and she went to the sink to wash dishes. She wasn’t going to let anything dampen her mood. Her whole week went by in a flash and that was the last time she saw Jeremy. She was free from his clutches and somehow that made her feel better. She had found a podcast link online and listening to it made her feel better. Hanging over your ex didn't make you a bad person, but cutting them off and putting an end to being the 'other woman. The woman they came back to when their choices made them feel down, the woman they came back to reinforce their toxic masculinity. When you stop letting them walk over you, they will realize they have no power over you. it sounds harder but Isabelle was willing to wing it through.
She wasn’t at fault for being hooked on him, he was the bad person who played those emotions and manipulated her into being his quick fuck.
