• Jack lifts me over his shoulder in a fireman's lift and escorts me away from the Luna ceremony amid wolf whistles and cheers, giggles from the young pups and a few raucous comments from some of the guys my age. He practically runs away from the gathering and lifting my head up at an awkward angle, I catch sight of some of the older couples watching us with knowing looks on their faces as they share side glances at one another in understanding of their Alphas desperation to get me alone. It is almost unheard of for a mated pair to wait to complete the bond, in most cases, when you find your mate, you are overcome with the sensations of the bond and everything happens very quickly, so long as you are both of age, although people can sense the bond even if their mate is not of mating age, but the bond is softer, offers more of a caring side rather than a physical pull, once both wolves are 17 the bond snaps into place much more firmly for the older wolf, but with my history Jack has been incredible, patient and understanding and now I feel I am ready for this. In truth, deep down I have been since I met him, but something was holding me back, something my subconscious was telling me, now though, all doubts are gone, all negative thoughts about myself have evaporated under the pressure of his love for me, and of my love for him.
• We make it to our suite in record time, his eagerness as obvious to me as my arousal is to him as I lay over his shoulder, head down and hip brushing his cheek with each step he takes.
