Chapter 20 - Pick Of The Packs

• "Yes, yes, it is your lucky day Cassie, you get to choose a future pack. All three Alphas have agreed to accept both of you as soon as you are ready. Of course, I haven't told them what you are about to do. That is not my place, but all three are lovely packs with plenty of peace and friendly people. I have printed out some information on each so that you might ponder your decision. Once you have decided between you, let me know, and I will notify the packs and begin making plans, including your travel and accommodation needs." He says all this very quickly, it hurts a little that he seems so eager to see us gone, something of my thoughts must show on my face as he quickly adds, "not that I want you gone, I just want you to be free and able to begin putting this business with Ace in the past." He says kindly, and I believe him.
• “Thank you, Alpha,” I hesitated humbly, then I hesitated, I needed to know though, so I continued, “Alpha, can I ask l, where Ace is? We went around the packing grounds yesterday, and I didn't see him at all.”
