Chapter 27 - Almost Time

With the goddesses words still clear in my mind, my determination to heal and begin our journey was my top priority, for the past week I have been following Dr Thorne physical therapy regime to the letter. He has continued to visit daily to check in and witness my progress. 3 days ago I managed to walk across the room, don't get me wrong I looked like a baby deer walking for the first time, but I made it. I needed to be carried back to bed that first time, but today I managed a very slow walk there and back to the bed. Every little accomplishment gets me one step closer to being whole again and to knowing my fate.
Dr Thorne says I will be strong enough to travel by the end of this week as our plans are to take it easy all the way, Thomas is going to drive us, with regular stops to rest and stretch so my muscles don't seize up. He has even developed a special program for me to follow on our journey so that I can hopefully continue to gain my strength. The trip to our new pack by car is going to take 2 weeks with all the breaks we are going to have to make, but I know Thomas won't deviate from the plan as he wants me to get better more than he wants to shorten our trip.
