Chapter 14 - Someone Else's Diary

  • After reading the first couple of sentences, I reread it, surprised by what I am seeing written on the page. I close the book to look at the cover. It is a relatively standard black covered book, and then I check the spine, which is blank. I flipped back to the first page and the book and read the inscription "This diary belongs to Jennifer Bennet, beginning 21st February 1975"
  • I glance at Thomas, who looks shocked to his core. We are currently looking at the previous Luna's personal diary. Her son, our current Alpha, is sharing this most personal possession of his mother's with me? I was intrigued before. Now I am torn. Do I read the Ex-Lunas diary? Can I really do that? Diaries are so intensely personal and private.
  • Thomas turns his upper body in my direction and, once again, seemingly knowing what I am thinking again, it is becoming a little disturbing, and he takes the book from my hands, lays it on the table and grasps my hands between his.
